When I try to connect to my AS server it works fine when I go from the server name, but when I try to connect by IP I get an error - incorrect version. THe server and my client run AS 1.91 so the version is in fact correct. Any thoughts?

Oh, I am using a virtual RvS 2nd disk.

What port is your server on?

The questions really should be, is this your server or a clan's server. This game doesn't like servers that are not on the default ports. If the server on the default port is full, or a different version, you will not be able to connect to your server unless you use the in-game browser.

on port 7788 at Defcon servers

Not true at all if it's setup right.

Then the Server thats on 7777 is Ravenshield. If your hosting company puts AS on 7777 then you'll be in business.
