S4 Fatal Error

hi all,
i just installed S4 on my new PC but it wont even start. I get a FE:
Exception 0x0000094 at 0x004c 3606!

i cant seem to see your link in the earlier thread Penny on FE's.can u repost it?

You must have winxp, run the exe (s4main) with compatibility mode win98/me. At least it worked with my issue.

What version of S4 are you using? V1516 is the latest, but some pcs need V1516a which, I believe, fixed some compatibility problems.

i have the settlers iv gold edition 3 in 1 i tried to find the s4.exe file you said about but cant only one i found doesnt let you change it to an earlier windows i have windows xp media edition also where do you find what version of s4 i have , if its v1516 or v1516a

Start your game and the version number is down in the bottom right corner, but it won't say V1516a, that patch you need to manually apply.

Are you running as Administrator on the PC?,if not you need to be.

This tells you how to get older games running under Vista,by changing the compatibility of it.

Hi all, I have this Fatal Error: Exception 0x0000094 at 0x004bec56 when I tried to run my newly installed S4. What should I do to be able to start playing this game? Please help!!!
