chances are you're running DHCP to get IPs for your local area network. you've got to assign your pc a static IP, and forward ports to your IP. the linksys router should have the settings accessible through a web interface.

i don't know what ports to open and i'm too lazy to set up static IPs, so i just run "ipconfig" from the command prompt to find my local IP, then configure the router to put my IP on the DMZ, then give out my ISP assigned IP (check your router) to my buddies. if you do this, don't forget to remove your PC from the DMZ after the gaming session.

good luck with the wireless router. tried hosting Ghost Recon on a wireless LAN back in the day and it lagged horribly - don't know if you'll get better results with RS.
