I don't really like it though

It's odd that they'd only have it for PS2; They'd make much more sharing it with Xbox, and PC would still boost their profits.

But still, you can make your own "Modern Combat" game using the Modification tools that you get from Battlefield 1942 and BattleField Vietnam

But oh well; It's their choice

There's not a lot of details yet, but I'm more interested in this one (from the makers of the Close Combat series of strategy games). It's being done to use as a trainer for the Marine Corp but will also have a commercial release (that will probably be somewhat different).

I love how the men's arms (among other body parts) cast shadows on the rest of their bodies though. The soldiers look way better than anything else I've seen because of it.

Regarding BF related things I'm looking forward to the Point of Existence Battelfield Vietnam mod. The story is kind of weak but the chance to use cutting edge/near future American and Russian weapons sounds great.

Right so far then I will have to buy 'Brothers In Arms' & now Close Combat First to Fight.

Games developers have realised that the BIG sellers are Good FPS games that put the player into the thick of the action. The thing is though as the compete with each other the detail and graphics get better and better all the time.

I have already elected to save for a new PC.
3GB CPU 128Megs graphics 1024 Mb RAM will do for about 5 years !! If Im lucky...so that I can play these games at full res and full settings which needs to be done to get the most out of them.

The Graphics of BIB and this new CC game are getting so cool now !

I agree that the helmets look a little small JonZ. However, keep in mind that they are Marines not the army, they may have a different helmet. I'll make an effort to find out.

I did find a style that looks like that (and it looks a little small to me too). I find it odd that not everyone in the pictures wears the same kind of helmet.
