Crash to Desktop after installing 1.1 patch

Hello,

my farcry (Version 1.1, Build 1256) worked fine until the end of the River-Mission. It crashes to desktop during (or after) the video sequence.

I tried to install the 1.1 patch several times, but afterwards farcry crashes immediatly after starting. I need to completle uninstall and install farcry again.

The most annoying thing is that farcry worked fine (including the path) on my hardware until i completely reinstalled WinXP with current display drivers.

Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot!

The game runs on a P4/3Ghz with ATI Radean 9800.

When you re-installed windows did you remember to reinstall all your latest drivers (not just video)? mobo chipset, sound card, service pack 1, all the other windows updates. That could be it.
