Heads up! Old guys at 12:00 High, request back-up!
Do you remember those great WW2 flicks on TV while growing up in the 60s? Well, my Brother, Fossil , and I do. We used to play Army and make believe we were soldiers. Dad made model airplanes of all the great WWII planes, I think because he grew up by Mitchell Field during the war. Yep, Pop, now known as Saurkraut, would paint them and hang them from our Bar with black thread. Evil Son that I am, those planes became fine firecracker canon fodder once I hit my teens. I remember Fossil and I even lit a few up on the of July one year; I still recall ME-109 model streaking fire through the night sky, then explode into a million little pieces.
I am a 44 year old computer gaming enthusiast. In fact, my older Brother and I, along with much help, created an international internet gaming community, [CoFR]Crusty old Fossil Rockers (www.cofr.net) (http://www.cofr.net)). Although our community is comprised of 220 adult gamers, most are into FPS (first person shooter) games like CS,DoD,BF 42, etc. Those fossil rockers whom do fly much seem to be on the other side of the pond in Europe, ready for sleep as we Mid-Westerners just get started. Hence, I need to find a few more life long gamers to collaborate with.
If you are an adult living somewhere in North America, I host a coop session on WED evenings (around 9 PM EST on Team Speak 2). Our skill sets are average, but we are team oriented players who contemplate strategy before we crank up the engines. Realistic-wise, most of the time we fly with unlimited ammo and fuel, all views available. I write missions and am also open to new creative works from our participants. Our typical mission begins at the airport and ends upon park. LOL go figure. For me, park also includes crashing onto the tarmac because I forget to lower my gear.
Please send me an e-mail at rocker@woh.rr.com or post here and I will reply.

Hi there, [CoFR]Soapdodger. This BBS is a bit slow... any other forums I should visit while on my quest?

This is the only IL2 related one I use Rocker. I'm sure you should get a good response here though.

My 2 favorites were the F86 I got from a cereal company, fired missles that would blind hundereds of California children these days, and my Barracuda Submarine, white and over 2' long with a clear cover you could remove to place sailors, bulkheads etc. Also shot the aforementioned missiles along with a further Helen Keller assault torpedo barrage that I remember most wistfully. Lok for rad Wed pm.

Do you remember the baking soda submarine? ... I sure do, had one! I also had that baloon game, where you move control from one strong fan to another.... that was fun, too.
Any flyers in the States into flying this evening? Send me an e-mail!
