Looking through the manual I dont really see anything about making it night rather than day. I can already change it to dusk and what not. It is the night time that I cant figure out.

Any ideas?

just playing with this myself, you can change the sun colour and sky colour to a darkish blue and then regenrate your surface textures. This will give soem light but give everything a nice dark look. However Istill need to figure out how to change the skybox as it still looks like a sunny day. Also The objects on the map are not using this light information so they look lit up like on a sunny day too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Ok playing with the environment settings, there is EnvState which has EnvColor, OutdoorAmbientColor and Suncolor, these all need to be changed to darkish colours, blue probably for the sky and a yellow for the sun. Then in the skybox, both 05_Bunker and 06_Steam are nightime skyboxes select either of those. Dont forget to hit Apply at the bottom to see your lighting changes. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ok I was halfway there but now I got it.

However this brings up a new question. How can I disable the sun in the sky or make it not quite as bright and the same color as the moon. Let me clarify a bit. I dont mean the enviroment I mean when you look up at the sky. The representaion of the sun that is up there.

I would imagine you would have to make your own skybox with your own texture if the ones I suggested are too bright

If you go into the sand, look for the sun. Then go into lighing and move the sun. If it did not move then you are looking at the sky box sun, it is painted and will not move. If it did move then you found the real sun, and what I am talking about.

That is a light flare set under Environment/Shaders/SunLensFlares You can change that to a different flare and I would presume you can edit the flare to be a certain colour, I have not played with modifying shaders yet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif But I think that is what you are looking for
