It's very easy, yes, the father blocks you, the best method is to leap over him, and stab him in back, with either sword or dagger, he's very easy to kill, really...

its possible to get a drink of water while fighting but your weapons have to be put up to drink as your probably know and its best if you draw the enemies away from the water source, soon as they are around you away from the source dodge out of the way, while running to the fountain put up your weapons and drink as soon as you get htere, you can usually get 1 or 2 sips in. Also some fights give a breather time of a few seconds before more show up, this is a good time to get a few gulps in

As for fighting the king i'm guessing you have to kill all the grunts first, I don't know for sure i always killed them first anyways. Red guards just do a simple jump over them knock them down and stab. Blue double bladed guards you can't jump over, either wait for them to attack and dodge the attack then strike at them, or wait for Farah to shoot one of them in the back then attack, or try the jumping off the wall spin attack (if they dont block it then they will go to the ground for you to stab)

Theres a set number of guards with no breather time in this mission. so once all the guards are killed you can easily dispatch the king by jump attacking him (for a while) and he'll fall down.

During the fight if you miss a block and you have the sand to spend its good to just rewind so you don't take the hit...especially if the hit makes you fall to the ground.
Not sure if this was a fluke but the king doesn't really attack very often when the guards are around, yeah he does swing sometimes and its usually a sweep but considering all the opportunities he gets to attack he doesn't.

Hmm...I had to get a new controller..I destroyed mine playing LOTR ROTK and this game...broke the analog stick..lmao! 2 funny!

All you have to do are the jump vault and rebound-wall attacks over, and over, and over again. Yes, the final knock-down hit of the combo will never work (except the very last time, heh), but you DO get one hit in everytime. After enough of those one hits, the old man will fall, and you can finish him off.


And if you think that fight was hard...holy god....I have three words for you: Mess Hall Fight.


2 solid hours of reloading to finally beat that evil travesty of a fight scene. Woulda been alot easier if that stupid little chit Farrah didn't run ahead get herself surrounded by jump-vault-countering blue sand soldiers. Oh, and not to mention that there are 2 freaking re-spawn groups to kill after that. Joy.


Solution: I *****d the wall-rebound combo over and over. I felt worthless. But it was the only thing that worked.
