I had a 9600xt and 1G mushkin pc3500 level one black ram. Far Cry would hiccup sometimes or stutter with high settings on 800 resolution. I found out my new mother board was bad and it was capping off my ram at ddr200 speeds. I got a new MSI k8t Neo and fixed the ram speed to DDR400 and now Far Cry plays with high settings with no hiccup or stutter. Anyways the ram speed helps a lot with bandwidth and overall game performance. So hopefully this will help people having problems with far cry fps.
