Hmm..Jungle Storm, I'd buy it only if it came with a weapon view or third person view. Why do you people refuse to put in a weapon view? I find it laughable that people get so excited over new weapons and the such when you can't even see it other than in the hands of your teammates. To each their own I guess, myself i'll stick to Socom online.

GR isn't your typical arcade style game. There have been literally hundreds of threads about you guys refusing to buy a game cuz you can't see the gun taking up half the screen. It's laughable cuz you're gonna spite yourself by not buying it. Have fun w/SOCOM, it's not as fun.

"Spite myself",I think not i've played a little of the pc version of Ghost Recon and find I just can't get that immersive feeling, like I can in other games that do show your weapon. I've never had a problem with the "gun taking up half the screen". Myself a fps without a weapon displayed is like a racing game without a cockpit view, but like I said to each there own.

you know I like GR and Rainbow series regardless if it had a weapon view or not.

Still I prefer seeing the gun I'am shooting. It helps me get into the game and feel like I'am fireing that weapon.

But it's a small detail regardless and shouldn't make or break a game, at least that how I see it.

One thing that sucked about Rouge spear is that half the weapon addons didn't even make a 3d model for it. So a M-60 was some guy holding a M-14.:-/ at least it gets rids of most of the half *** addons.

Bayonet, since when is looking down at your arm, while trying to shoot people realistic?

Next thing you know, you'll be asking for Health Packs, to get that "immersive" feeling.

You call what you have now "realistic"? Far from it,have you ever fired a weapon? I have and you CAN see your weapon/hand/arm. Hell, you can see your hand/arm come across the front of your body when you throw a grenade even if it's just for a brief moment. Given the two choice's a weapon view is far more "realistic". Even more "realistic" would be bringing the weapon to eye level and looking down the sight when shooting. Health packs? Not from me, nor do I want 11B or 11C soldiers jumping into and driving/firing a tank, but I would love to see multi-colored rabbits doing HALO jumps.

I shot semi-pro for many years. My team shot 4th place in the world in the SOF 3 gun match in '95. Never once did I see my arm or the gun. All I saw was the target and whatever crosshairs were in the scope. And when throwing frags you're looking at your target. I'm sure everyone has thrown a baseball, I'd be that they don't even see their arm cuz they're focused on the target.

Thank you! It's kind of an optical illusion where everthing else disappears from your view except the target.

Thank you, again! Technically you throw grenades by lobbing them straight-armed, but, like firing a weapon, you don't really notice your arm.

True but that does not apply to non-scoped weapons. I'm not saying you see your entire arm/hand when using a non-scoped rifle, even less when squinting, but when brought up to eye level and looking down the iron sights your gonna tell me you can't at the very least see the top of your weapon,or your weapon at all. When using a handgun you definitly can see your forearm/hands when firing, unless of course your one of those fellows that can shoot from the hip I forget what it's called, very impressive to see though, they draw, shoot and reholster their gun in a blink of an eye, does'nt even look like the gun leaves the holster. Anyways all i'm saying is that maybe they should at least add an option for those of us who prefer a differnt view. I'm guessing a response from the devs either way on this topic is out of the question. So i'm out, later.

I've spent quite a bit of my life hunting and shooting skeet, while doing so I technically can see my gun, but I hardly notice it. Of all those years "seeing" my gun I can't seem to remember seeing my gun much at all except for a metal bead and I really wasn't too much attention to that. I do remember seeing target after target going up in a puff of black dust with a few shards of clay interspersed and quite a few birds falling from the sky but of all the things present I don't remember the gun. . . maybe that's because it was blurry, appeared semitrasparent (because I have two eyes), and wasn't taking up much of my field of view. . . unlike every other game I've seen out there.

With any type of longarm except a shotgun all you see is the rear sight ring and the front sight. You don't see your hand, the foregrip or anything else. All of the "I wanna see the gun crowd" like to see the whole left side of the gun including the magazine. Sorry, but in all the times that I've shot at something and tried to hit it, I didn't have the gun at waist level and held out in front of me. Thats what the gun view in these 'immersive' shooters looks like. Not realistic at all.

People....this always seems to keep coming up as an 'issue'...

Hope RSE will implement something like that in GR2. The choice to pick a weaponsview! Why not offer the possibility to use it or not, like you can change a 1st person view to 3rd person and vice versa in many other games?!

More people they reach with it and no more discussions with
"pro's" and "con's". /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Are there any other ancient threads we can revive? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

We don't want it implemented so they can spend more time on something else in the game. The weapon view is for all the kids out there. It's not realistic, it actually reeks of arcade style console games. Let the 14 year olds find another game to wish ruined.

No weapon view , no third person view, no jumping, no medic packs and if you don't like lump it!!! and find a game that has your tastes

This game was produced and has cornered a niche in the market with the thousands that play the game the way it is so leave our game alone and find another and take your ideas somewhere else
