State Of The Forum Address [Archive]

My fellow RvS players, distinguished guests (Bullettooth) hot babes (Kimi Freaky and Pelley) and hundreds of smurfing previously banned people.

It is written that from time to time he shall come before you and inform as to the state of the forum.

It has been an interesting few months in here. We've had inbuilt hacks, more inbuilt hacks (applause), one of the longest running threads on how Raven Shield is destroying displays, (applause), fanboys, (applause) haters, (applause) people coming over from other forums with the express intention of getting banned,(applause) alternate intro videos (applause) but most pleasing of all ...... Kimi's pic! (rapturous applause!!!)

We've seen men such as Lawlesbe dug in at the trenches, frantically treating the casualties of technology in their hundreds. We've seen Freaky come all the way from RvS noob to well..... less of an RvS noob http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif (love ya freaky). We've had a "this is what sux thread"
thread with only one reply!!!!! (By default they usually get about 20 answers just randomly saying what sux.) We've seen the hilarity of someone named Major Catastrophe patching his game in the wrong order. We've seen men in tights, which I think crashed the forums for a few days. We've seen year old threads rise from the dead to haunt us with issues that still plague our existence. We've also had someone who didnt think it was quite appropriate enough than he should eloquently inform UBI that they "sux eggs hardcore" but that it should be posted 25 times. We've had stalkers and ranters, and spammers a plenty and calls for my resignation from this vaunted and satisfying position.

We've had noobs and vets alike complain about the hit detection or lack thereof. We've had the SDK so close we could just about smell the naked female mods. We've seen the bad ... (waiting a long time for the next patch) and we've seen the good ....(insert something here).

But through it all this forum has remained a great place for insensed noobs to come and spit the dummy as the old school sit back and smile knowingly. Our shared frustration has brought us closer than anyone who had not experienced it could believe. (except for njcl who must be on some heavy duty pain medication or something.)

Just riding on coat tails. The credit really should go to all those techies that really deserve it like Gunny and yes, even Mindless_Oath. There are scores of others too including yourself Tony and all of the other regulars.
I just read em and help direct those poor un-fortunate soals plauged with problems to the answers already given by our true heros.

Not sure if this is pertaining to the same thing, but I have heard rumors that Witness is no longer a moderator here? He has not come to me saying he no longer wants to be a moderator and he still has full moderator privileges.

Witness still is in fact a moderator here, so I want to dispell any rumors stating otherwise. I am not sure where he has been though... Probably busy with real-life stuff.

Oh, if anybody is interested, Canada has many spots wide open for new people, after all we are the second largest antion (for land area), and only have over 30 million people. After all, who would not want to come and live in the arctic?
