just for grins, try flushing the engine cache.
open command console (the ~ key) type in flush, hit enter.

by choppy do you mean like fps are going to crap? you system specs should be more than enough to run the game with most setting on high, including your aa and af on your vid card and still get 40+ and better frame per second. here is a link to some tweaks that may help you. you might also look at your vid card settings and or driver version that your using. maybe play with your aa and af settings, disable them, check the game, that kind of thing. heres the link.

yeah the fps drop to like 1 or something when there is alot of stuff going on in the game..example: I have 3 others in my team following and every 2-4sec i get crappy FPS..but if i go alone my FPS is great...it gets even worse when others in my team following and we get into shooting...i cant even tell where my target is and end up dying cause FPS drop to like 1. oh and i have the newest drivers for graphics card...and in game settings are set to medium.

another thought, you have nforce chip. i read in other posts in here, you might check for newest driver for nforce. i believe that took care of the other guys problem.

Ok here are some of the steps i took to try and fix this problem...i reinstalled all drivers, motherboard, graphics card, sound ETC..then i turned on the overdrive feature in the ATI control panel and set everything to quality settings and turned on Vsync. Then i defragged my whole HD..then set most of the graphics settings to medium in the game...the choppyness has lowered a bit...but it still does it...

A couple things going on there: Memory and background apps.
Get another 512 RAM, you have quite a tight bottleneck there, especially if it's still 333mhz
Run msconfig and turn off all startup apps except explorer and sys tray, and those you want to run, like spybot and antiviral software. when you reinstalled the drivers, did you use the ones from the supplied disk, or the newest ones from the manufacturer's website? Mobo drivers are the most important ones.

I downloaded all the updates from the manufacturers websites along with directx9.0b...it would like a bit more mem...but its quite expensive...i just built this new rig...waiting for more money...i have went to the msconfig and removed most items from the startup...except explorer, sys tray, and some ATI stuff and sound stuff.
