Well I know for a fact PunkBuster is causing my error. I get the following bluescreen error when punkbuster is installed while playing:

HARDWARE MALFUNCTION
CAlL YOUR HARDWARE VENDOR FOR SUPPOER
NMI: PARITY CHECK/MEMORY
PARITY ERROR
*THE SYSTEM HAS HAULTED*

as much as it sounds weird it is true, I have done everthing from changing my video card to downloiading differant drivers. So for a final solution b4 I burnt my RVS cd was to try this. I installed RVS and the 1.41 update and played fine for 2 days....so on the 3rd day I installed PB....5 min into my game sure enough BLUE SCREEN.
Any ideas? My OS is Windoes XP Pro I have a Radeon 64mb 9000 AGP.

some nerd told me it gives me a "loop back" error which screws up something and causes that error.

Maybe you have a bad or incompatible stick of memory and the problem manifested itself in the way that PB utilizes system memory and caused the BSOD that you saw.

May be a heat problem, I know when it was hot and I turned down the fan on my cpu I would get a Blue screen when playing.

SO maybe the fix to my error is to buy another stick of RAM? How big of a stick can you buy? 256?or do I have to buy (2) 256 bars. Also how much do they go for and do I just stick them in or is there software I must install too.

Thanks,

From the description of the error, you don't necessarily need more RAM (although I certainly would want more in a machine that 256). The problem as you've described, is actually bad RAM. I'd check this page and download the Windows Memory Diagnostic to check your current RAM and then purchase at least one new stick. http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
