Far Cry asking for CD key before connecting to server

before connecting to server to play online, Far Cry starts asking me to type in the CD key number?

I mean, what the hell is going on here? I thought this was supposed to be a demo.

Eitherway, how do i get this cd key?

First of all, you aren't supposed to play the demo online coz its _singleplayer_ demo! The modification that does that is unofficial.

How do you get the CD key? More to the point, how did you get the MP Beta?
