I think you only have to click "7" and cycle through the weapons with "D" until you find them . Then press fire (enter)

I think it was that simple...dont remember http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Are you talking about the rockets or the mavericks?

I laugh at all the online wannabes and think they're Dirty Harry or Rambo. Those of us that are skilled w/real guns laugh at these n00b lamers.

I beleive the A-10, like the F-15, uses joystick button one to fire the gun, and button two to fire everything else (as selected via the "D" key). The Russian aircraft do not use joystick button two, and requires the "C" key to toggle between the gun and the other weapons

Like merudo mentioned - the A-10 Training Missions:
http://home.earthlink.net/~rgwebster/LO/Trng7.jpg
There is also a lesson on using the AGM-65 Mavericks.

You REALLY do want to do all the training missions from UPT through all the aircraft that you want to fly.

Even AFTER you've done them once - go back and watch them again a bit later on. You'll keep getting better idea of whats happening if you do that.

Those suggesting that Dubya_Supporter will find how to fire unguided rockets or Mavericks in training tracks - YOU ARE WRONG. Since LOMAC 1.02 there are two fire keys for A-10. One for cannon and one for everything else selected by D - key. And ED did not update this information in 1.02 training track and it is still instructing newbies to fire rockets by Cannon fire key. And for the newbies - surprise ! - IT DOES NOT WORK ! As a newbie myself I was also taking training tracks to learn LOMAC and went through this ironic pain. ... This is one of countless small LOMAC bugs which you either take the pain and spend a lot of time finding out how to do things in LOMAC or you just simply quit. I think the sim enthusiasist will take the pain - the rest will quit and pass bad word around. Which is not good for any of us - less users = less money UBI gets = less money ED gets = less motivation for future LOMAC improvements & fixes - which seems to be exactly LOMAC's problem right now.

SAS_Apocalypse3 had already mentioned using the Enter key to fire the missile so and the training missions is STILL far and away the BEST aid to "use the maverics" as Dubya also asked.

Roman4L is wrong. The training mission does NOT instruct the player to fire rockets by the using the space bar. It just doesnt mention what key is used.

Now its true that the AGM-65 misson does give the Ver 1.02 user the wrong launch key. But guess what? Most people start flying using Ver 1.0 - NOT Ver 1.02. Dubya didn't mention what version of the game he was using. It might have been just a problem getting RKT selected after his gun run.

I'm not sure what got Roman4L's panties in a twist but I noticed he didnt really help answer the question Dubya_Supporter asked.

When patching to 1.02 the key command document states that the "ENTER" key is used to pickle in US jets. This is even highlighted in red to show that it is a new 1.02 function.

All it takes is a little reading.

I am running 1.02

just tell me how to do it like so:

press C and pull the trigger on your joystick

press D untill you see b***a then press the button that will release the weapon.

press * to bring up the orbital weapons platform display to lock on your targets

bla bla bla, please make it simple, because I am unable to use my thermal display when I use the whatever D version air to ground heat seaking missle, thankyou.

In all fairness, there are a number of people starting to play this game who have no idea what pickle means. Besides something that goes good with a sandwich ofcourse.

to fire Unguided Rockets press 7 then press D untill you see the letters RKT in the bottom left of the HUD.

You now have Unguided rockets selected......off the top of my head its SPACEBAR to fire (hit RETURN also just in case).

Rockets are more accurate fired from a steeper dive angle and they will bunch up on impact (not a vertical divehttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ).

The Maverick come in 2 flavours TV and Infa-red these are also found ont 7 key (air 2 ground) the TV produces a black and white real "TV" image in the "cockpit TV", the IR produces a black and white "negative" image this version has a ZOOM feature activated by keys - and + . (these weapons are usually one after another when toggling through)

The IR is favoured by Hawg pilots day or night because of its zoom and willingness to "snap lock" to a distant target.

Hope this helps somewhat from all these Semi-OT useless replies youve had http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif its early here and my head is fuzzy http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Ever thought LOMAC might NOT be for someone (new or not) who can't figure-out, with the training tracks and read-me file, how to fire unguided rockets?? I mean come on, if it was a question on useing the F-15Cs radar or missiles I could understand...but unguided rockets!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Dead thread walking!!!

Some people are after a free lesson it seems. I recommend reading the manual in the Lock On file under Ubisoft in Programs , and do the training until you understand.
