Hi To all,
i dont like to look like some feminist, but i like to see female as the main character in this game! Why we cannot choose who to play for? The Val (have a same name :-)) would be perfect and muscleman can only help her!!!!
Please do it :-)

Tombraider is no fun!

Yours and currenly realy busy of this nice game,
Val

isn't that basically only an issue in cutscenes? oh and 3rd person i guess. maybe there's skin files you can swap around. i haven't poked around in those files much yet, since they don't appear to be structured same as demo. try firing up the sandbox, and see if you can modify player skins.

hmm. they'd have to have done all the voice acting that way as well, to make it selectable. still i can't say it's not there. spose they would have mentioned it as a feature though.

It isn't. You might want to go buy the "No One Lives Forever" games if you don't already have them, though.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I agree.. you wouldn't have thought it would have taken too much effort to give you a choice of characters. Just a bit of re-scripting and some alternate cut-scenes.

It would have been even easier to include some female MP skins.

there is no way you could have a women lead in a game like this !!!
with all the running/walking you would have to keep pausing the game while she rests her sore feet !!!!

All girls aren't barbies but then again you don't see any in the Special Forces either. Women just don't have the upper body strength.

I will have to say as much as I love this game the voice acting for the main character makes me cringe everytime he talks. I'm thinking of re-dubing his lines myself with something that fits into the game a little better then the B-Movie surfer dude playing an ex-marine voice they got for Jack (Got to finish the game first though).

Rest of the game rules. A girl lead option would have been cool especialy for the female customers, I know there's got to be more then just a few out there.

i think that it would be funny if not realy realistic (i mean the case that woman is walking on island with load of weapons)...

but there is already one girl in story and she was not only in prison, she is brave!

I dont care how much training a women recieves gentically she is not able to defend herself from an equal or over baring oponent.

Yes if you put a highly trained women up against an average civilian her chances are higher. But these arent average civilians were fighting are they?

And Im sorry if ive offened anyone and im not saying women shoud be in the kitchen, but whens the lastime you saw the number one women boxer go against the number one guy boxer? Itll never happen,

hey that reminds me. remember a level or two before you get to val (after the flooding and stuff)? there's a place where you're amazingly close to a pink triangle (just other side of wall or something). anyone think of a way to get at that (is that her? the pink triangle? i would guess so...pink and all...)

i don't remember if it's the same level or not. it's before the flooding scene...before you go into the corridor with 4 crawlable air vents 2 on each side, and 2 of them not at floor level (about waist height)..three triguns attack after you round that corner. well it's in the only other room you go into from the room you just left to get into the airvent room.

(i know this explanation sucks, it's not fresh in my mind anymore, im on catacombs now...sorry)

anyway there's a pink triangle like the (green/yellow/red ones that represent mercs on your HUD, only pink). the closest you can get to it is just on other side of a wall (makes you go try the airvent corridor...me anyway)

You could change the models, but that wouldn't change them for the pre-rendered cutscenes. So the game wouldn't make sense.

I'm not so sure a woman can't do what Jack is doing on the island. A large part of the game could be classified as recon/steath. Women are better suited for recon because of their small frame. Besides, my girlfriend is an ex Israeli Paratrooper. I'd put her up against just about any guy in a bar fight. He's small, quick, and knows a lot of martial arts. She also shoots very well. She has a half inch group with my hunting rifle at 100 m. Needless to say I don't try to make her angry http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
