i see some cool textures on the meshes that come with the rvs game, but i don't know how to get them off of the meshes to use them. i tried selecting my bsp i want to apply the texture to, and to select properties>display>materials, make a new material, get the little teardropper thingy by clicking on "pick" and then clicking the teardropper on the texture i want on the standard mesh. this doesn't work at all. is there any other way to rip a texture off a mesh to use it in my map?
those textures have to be on my drive somewhere since they're applied to the standard meshes, but i can't find them in a useable form...
thanks!

Open up the texture browser, then open the MapName_TSM.utx file with the same map name as the static mesh package. Now click 'All' and look through the textures till you find it.
Another way is:
Create a new map (File, new). Place your staticmesh anywhere, right click on it, select convert, then click To Brush. Subtract it, then right click on the texture you want, then edit, copy. Now open up your map, right click on what you want to apply the texture to, select edit, paste, here.
