know you guys know alot about computers so I came here to ask... I have just got a cable connection and a LINksys router. I can view the three XP computers when i look in workgroup, but when I click on them, I cant log onto the computers. In a grayed out bar it has the name of the computer and "guest". Example: COMPUTER\Guest. I can not change the name of the login at all, so I cant log in using an Admin account. The guest thing shows up regardless if I have a guest account or not on that computer, and if I enable the guest account it goes through, but a window comes up saying I dont have priviledges to view or edit the shared folders. Can you tell me how to make it so:
1. I dont have to login at all
2. Change the user name I log in to
Please help me I am in need :-(

Each computer has to be shared at some point, if you haven't, run the setup home network on each computer and set the access levels.
Try that and let us know

Yes try that and click on each computers HD and enable sharing and make sure they have the same domain or workgroup (ie. MSHOME, WORKPLACE)
