joystick flickering

it seems that when im flying in any aircraft that in the game the stick will go were i move it but only for a second or two, then it will right back into the middle if i dont move it. The only way i can seem to cope it two constantly shake the stick a little so i keeps on going back and wont make me crash into the ground

ive heard to create a dead space or somthing like that?

What HOTAS are you using?
Do you have the latest drivers for it?
What OS?
Have you tried calibrating the controller via the
Windows controller setup?
