I suddenly have no sound whatsoever in-game, however I can play all samples in windows. All other sound files on my computer are fine. AEP sound was fine this morning! What have I done?

Have you tried moving your slider on your sound acceleration tab up and down (actually it moves to the right or to the left).

go to: start\control panel\sounds and audio devices
under speaker settings click - advanced
now click: performance tab

I've never experienced this with IL 2 but with other games - in the past - I have lost sound and gotten it back by moving the slider one way or the other.

hope this helps,
Rick

This happened to me yesterday after a clean install.
I reinstalled my sound drivers, and went to il2 setup and chose minimum dx settings for sound. Rebooted, and it worked again. For some reason no sound came out, but after fresh sound drivers and reboot, and Il2 setup, and reboot, all is fine again...
