sandbox error

ok, when i make my map i can do everything (i have tried) but when i go to add a layer and i call it say "sand" i select the texture i want for it, i select the deatail texture, but when i select the "material" for the layer i get a "critical error", if i change teh "material" on the default layer nothing happens, its only when i create a new layer... any help?

now do you think its something with my computer, because i have tried reinstalling it, updating video and sound drivers, nothing seems to help at all... please help.

i cnat be the only unlucky one getting errors with sandbox.

it helps if you make a profile to assosiate the detailed picture and the mat_ files w/, up there is deffault, make and rename a few it will work then, you cant assosiate stuff w/ nothing, causes it to crash or lock up

I'm having the exact same problem, to the letter. Niwa_Banli_Zan, what your saying makes sense based on an error I'm getting while loading the map after saving it post error, but I don't understand how to impliment what your saying. Could you go into alitle more detail?

i just posted that i have the same error, but its for any surface type i get. It worked fine the first day...

I HAVE made individual profiles and it craps out on me
