You're probably right. I never thought very much of it. Although I do remember there being a can of Spam on the shelf in the kitchen when I was a child, I don't remember that we ever ate it.

I do a lot of shopping in ethnic markets and Spam is a big seller in the Asian stores. It's like any other "comfort food", the acquired taste bringing the eater fond memories of home.

Zpam. Ze *Z* has been zkipped. I remember the spam from tins. Had to open both top and bottom and then the whole content bounched through the kitchen collecting the remains of cat food, which became its destination (yipee!)

Pooh. Footprint slipped in! As I was saying, I love all animals, just cats are more my speed right now than dogs. But I'm really a horse person. I had one, too, once upon a time -- you've met him (or more properly his avatar) if you've dropped in at the A&C Hotel lately.

Right likely it meant something like that. "Mahbuba" means "beloved" (my Arabic name when I was studying the language in college -- I've forgotten most of what I learned, sad to say). "Duke" was my horse's name, my companion for half a dozen years through junior high and high school. What color was Abiba?

Unlike other cats, my cat often thinks that he is a dog. He wil run and fetch, and has the same morning routine as most dogs. "play with me feed me (even though he is free fed).
