please lemme vent
yesterday my computer was having a tantrum.
it all started when a page i left open froze...i was moving my trackpoint (mouse-thing btwn the G H & B keys) up to X out, and it froze. CTRL, ALT, DEL didnt work so i restarted.
After a reboot, the comp froze in loading.
5 or 6 reboots later, it was operating fine...for the most part.
in all this madness, it was doint that thing where every keystroke was delayed.
i tried to reopen AIM. the password was saved...i use the same password for all SN's...so lets say the password was 'X'. i typed in 'X' and it said i was wrong. So i used another name for the latter half of the day....i hadnt saved the regular buddy list in quite some time. fortunately i had done some spring cleaning...got it from 150ish to about 60 over the summer, but since then ive been busy making connections on campus, so i had about 90, but after adding and deleting some, id say i was somewhere btwn 92-94.
some names were redundant bc so and so had 3 names. and some people i never talked to. other i would if they were on.
anyway so i did a AIM password retrival..and 'a couple minutes' of alleged waiting time turned out to be like 10...so i tried again..and had to wait 24 hrs....its been like 10 so far...
the thing is...the password i thought it was..it aint...so im scared i cant get back in...
i reginstered a new sn with a 2 attached to it....
but i cant get into my buddylist.
i spent a good part of today remembering---a good lesson in who i talk to...got 99.9%...but 2 peole i talk to alot i dont know their emails and they spell their names funny...so i cant communicate with them.
now, 24 hrs has elapesed...i even did an experiment in retrieving the password for the new name---just to see how long it would take...neither has come yet...which i take as a good sign...
but im still pooping my pants because i want things to be the way they were!!!
i want my away mesages and awesome profile and all sns back...
even if i get all of em back...ill still convince myself im missing ONE----of course its the girl who was about to ask me to marry her.....
(if there ever was one)
but i just want to vent.
does anyone have any suggestions? and theres no reason why i shouldnt get my password retririeved...lets say i changed it...and it couldnt have bene clandestantly done, bc this all happened in a matter of minutes....
lets say i changed it a while back and forgot..i should get the new one...no?
please tell me the truth AND what i wanan hear....
all people can say is "man, that sucks"....I KNOW!
