are you talking of the render option in the video control menu? if so they are "default", "improved", "paradise", "cold", and "cartoon"... each makes the games color and look, look different... for example, "default" is what you start off playing at... if you change it to "cartoon", the game will appear cell-shaded... change it to "paradise" and the colors will be more vibrant and colorful, where-as changing to "cold" will make the colors look more dull and, well, cold... "improved" looks to be a mix of "default" and "paradise" in my opinion... my favorite is "paradise" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

as for AI bots in MP... in order to put AI controlled bots in MP, there needs to be different AI for those bots than SP bots... they should have put them in, but for some reason they didnt... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

edit: just to add... to use the different render modes, i *think* you will need to have your particle setting on high or very high and change special effects and environment to high/very high also... i cant remember... someone else can tell me if im right or not...

Special effects needs to be high or very high, Any less and you cant chenge the option.
