the range scale is on the right side of the HUD and radar display. Read the manual and watch the training missions to better understand it.

You can shoot when you want.

When have a target locked, a WEZ display will appear in the lower right hand of the HUD showing Rmax and Rmin of your currently selected missile. Check the (online) manual for more details.

Check your "lock" square box in the HUD. When in range, a small triangle or star appears under it, depending on the missile you have selected...
