Hi there,

Thank you for reporting this!

Can you confirm if you have tried verifying the game files in the Uplay client.

Can you also try these steps?: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1398911-Game-freeze-after-click-play?p=11427101&viewfull=1#post11427101

Let me know if the issue persists!

Issue definitely persists, this is a common problem with R9 cards (seems like people with 970 are having the same problem). Going to be like this until it's patched.

ya gotta wonder if its just driver problem .. that's gonna need a patch....... if ya look at the release notes for the game it says

Latest GeForce drivers tested: Nvidia GeForce 358.91 WHQL
Latest Radeon drivers tested: AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL

those are both pretty old ,,especially the AMD ones ....14.4 drivers don't even support the newer GPU's

they are from April of 2014 ...

I'm pretty sure this is what my issue is. Quite happily played for a couple of hours pushing East and South, went back to the North and it froze up again.

Exact same thing here!
I can't go to the north, it always crashes there.

R9 380 4GB ^^

The patch I downloaded today didn't help.

Ubisoft knows about this exact, reproducible problem with this series of cards. Not sure why someone would want to spin their wheels with these steps when it's known that it won't work in this case. There is a massive thread about it already and it is always the same consistent conditions that trigger the problem.

Meh, they are just following the guidelines and telling people the exact copy+pasted thing over and over, it's what they are told to do and therefore not their fault, I guess.

That massive thread doesn't help, they just don't give a **** since they got their money and this won't change either for their future releases, I mean a company's utmost goal is making money and they are succeeding at it thanks to the idiotic masses. R9 380 users having a problem with the game ? Nobody cares. It won't reduce their profits. Two people in that thread mentioned some lawsuits, now that would make them care if they actually proceeded with it but yea probably not going to happen.

I am not going to change my VGA just for one game, I'll just avoid the future far cry titles or any ubi titles for that matter from now on, at least I wouldn't be paying for a broken product that way and doing myself and my credit card a good.
