Dear lord, someone help me!
I have been able to get through the entire level without any difficulties, my entire team intact. However, I then get to the final room with the 2 hostages inside. There are 3 doors to the room, two leading elsewhere within the building, the final one leading to the outside. Next to the door leading outside there is a window, with a ladder just behind it leading to the ground floor.
Tactic 1:
I go in with 2 teams, red team (4 guys, 2 with L85A1 silenced, 2 with mp5 silenced, all with flash grenades) and green team (4 guys, all with mp5 silenced and flash grenades). Green team moves to one of the doors inside the building, and waits for Bravo, red team (with me) sits by the other door and waits for Zulu.
On Bravo and Zulu, green team opens the door and enters, and red team opens the door and enters.
However, the terrorists shoot the hostages as soon as the door opens.
Tactic 2:
I go in with 2 teams, red team (4 guys, 2 with L85A1 silenced, 2 with mp5 silenced, all with flash grenades) and green team (4 guys, all with mp5 silenced, 3 with flash grenades, 1 with breaching charges). Green team moves to one of the doors inside the building, and sets charges, red team (with me) sits by the other door and waits for zulu.
On Bravo and Zulu, green team blows the charges and enters, and red team opens the door and enters.
However, the terrorists shoot the hostages as soon as the charge goes off.
The number of times I have tried this over and over again, it's driving me mad. What did everyone else do to get through this un-scathed and with the hostages still alive?
Any help will be appreciated, as always.

have you tried opening the dor slowly while you are stacked? then chucking in smoke and bangers? This worked for me. I'm sure others will have suggestions as well

i seem to remember that opening the door even slightly seemed to alert them. But i'll give it a go anyway. thanks
If you really need to get through it, you can use smoke. Just don't throw the smoke right at the door, or else they'll "see" it.
Have you tried breaching the outside door as well? You'll probably have to crawl under the window to get there without being seen, though.

Its funny, I just finished that one last night after playing it probably 50 times. My plan was good, but for some reason, I had to lead one of the teams (I was using 3 teams for the mission).
I also had both teams blow the door on a go code. Once I did that, I only had problems clearing the hanger.

Okay, I don't know about you guys but I just save myself the headache and use the pre-loaded plan.

(veteran level)
I save them using only one team, through the door closest to the ladder, while letting the AI breach and enter.
I found that a complete AI team can clear a room pretty room, mainly for the reason I can't tell the hostage from the terrorist.(their clothings are too similar.)

Have both teams breach it, and set to blitz to get in the room. The AI is quite good at determining tangos from hostages, so they can do most of the work. You can pick up the obvious tangos.
A breaching charge doubles as a flashbang. The tangos get disoriented for a second. One breaching charge is good, but if a tango is too far away, they won't be affected and then they will just waste the hostage.
Two breaching charges makes sure that everyone one in the room is disoriented. Giving you time to kill the tangos. Also, try to position yourself between the tangos and the hostages. While this may seem like a sure way to get shot, you have body armour, hostages don't.

Best tactic with hostages is always keep the environment sound the same, and when you reach the final room (with two hostages) you got to stay quiet to understand whats behind that door, because when you open the door you only got 1 to 1.5 seconds to neutralize all tangos, teh best way in is: get your teams ready, one team for each door, i would say two teams for the doors inside the building. If both teams are waiting a go-code, good! if not issue a Open and clear on Zulu, then on the other team grab a bang open the door gently throw the bang close the door and issue the go-code for both teams and neutralize the tangos, this process since you open the door gently must be done in less than 2.5 seconds, for that ready your bang and then open the door gently to speed up the ops process, at the same time you throw the bang issue the go-code.

actually u might aswell just run in there as fast as possible with auto-aim on, from what i can remember there is only 3-6 terros in there
(ya so its kinda cheating, but whos gonna know http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif )
I came, i SAWed, i died

Yep nobody knows!
For me Auto-Aim its just a setback, because it locks on tangos very fast, but sometimes the tango locked its not the tango i want to kill first! And BTW in the 14 mission you got to take Gutierrez alive and auto-aim will lock on him, if you shoot and he dies ...
... MISSION FAILED!
