How do I make it rain?

I remember a while back watching that bink video of the engine in action, I recall seeing it storming and raining etc..

How can I make my map rain like in the video, or was this option removed?

First you make a shape or an area box...this is where you want it to rain/storm.

now choose the storm entity from entity>render

Then select your area or shape and click pick and select he storm entity.
now you should see a line connecting the shape/area with the storm entity

voila!

See I did that but now what do I do. I did a rebuild and nothing happens. hmmmm......

Reload script,go game mode(ctrl+g) and walk in to the box.

how do you then resize the area box to then cover the island?

well, adjust the height, lengt, width in the AreaBox Parmams, on the right on your screen i suppose

okay thx, I got it to work. It looks a little crappy right now but I am going to see what I can get messing with some of the settings.

Everytime I click on my storm entity after clicking pick I get an error and the Sandbox crashes.

Thanks Nos! It worked... but it doesn't look very good, I lowered it to like 0.15 and it looks "ok." I also screwed with my fog enviroment settings, but it still doesn't look great. Is there some shader or something I can change to make it look better? I looked but I didn't see anything.

yeah thx alot, it worked great, although the effect of the water hitting the first person gun looks pretty crappy. Thx though, good to see so many peeps helping eachother out with mapmaking. I cant wait till the community unleashes a massive amount of maps for this game thats already kicka**. im going to begin work soon on a new single player campaign for farcry. i dont think enough people are focusing on singleplayer, which IMHO, is Farcry's strong point.

Im thinking it might be about one man's mission to end the drug trade. Imagine this: Our hero had a little kid brother who died from a drug overdose, so the hero comes home from his last tour of duty(He's a SEAL) and is shocked by what happened to his bro. So whats an ex-Navy SEAL with nothing to loose and a six pack o' beer gonna do? You guessed it, he's going to the source of the problem; he's going on a campaign on his own across Mexico and Panama, making his way thru thick jungles and mountains, taking on entire groups of guerillas and blowing up drug labs. Eventually he makes his way to Colombia, where he will face off with THE biggest drug lord in the region after mowing down his henchmen and mercenaries.
