xbox version compatible w/ pc version?

haven't got the game as of now, i'm awaiting this SCPT-contest i participated in to end, to find out whether if i'm one of the winners (then i'll get the pc game as a prize, otherwise i'll have to buy the pc game)

anyway, just out of curiousity: can xbox live players play along with pc players, and vice versa? If so, doesn't it result in any compatibility issues? And what about the controls - can xbox players run about as smoothly as pc players?

I don't think the different versions are compatible with eachother, I'm quite sure actually.

For the smoothness, XBOX should be smoother in the walking and such, if you have a solid thumb. Since you control the speed of walking/running by tilding the stick, you should be able to control your character quite smooth. The PC version only has 4 different speeds, controllable with the mouse wheel. I prefer that one though, seems more reliable than my thumb.
