I just bought the game last week and have done everything I've read in the forum to try to fix this pain in the GPF. I have a:

- Asus A7V33 latest bios and VIA 4.49 Hyperion drivers
- AMD Athlon XP 1900+ not overclocked
- Chaintech GeForce 3 Ti200 w/ 45.23 Nvidia drivers
- Soundblaster Live 5.1 w/ most current drivers from SB website
- WinXP w/ SP1

I've been playing Medal of honor and Spearhead for several months w/out any problems.

Bought Raven Shield and Battlefield 1942. Raven Shield keeps getting GPF, usually in the options menu but really almost anywhere in the process of trying to start a game. I can play single player on and off. Where the GPF appears is unpredictable but it shows up everytime. Only in 2 single player games did it not show up but those games only lasted about 20 minutes each.

BF1942 has boot me out to the desktop once in the 12 times I played it. Haven't tried to fix that one yet.

I'm curious to find out what kind of hardware combinations don't have any problems.

GA-7VRXP with Via 4in1 drivers
Athlon 1800+
VisionTek Geforce4 TI4200 64mb
WindowsXP with sp1

I have never had even 1 GPF with these specs.

I don't have any either. If you haven't already you may want to try updating the bios for your motherboard as well as installing the lates VIA drivers. Also I use the onboard sound. You might want to try that instead of the Live card considering many people have posted about trouble with that card.

Runs great on my PC. I did have a GPF in version 1 with the norunaway glitch, but a workaround was done and subsequent patches have corrected it. No problems since.
