1.51 patch multiplayer crash

whenever i load a multiplayer game, it'll turn black. but it stays black with the 1.51 patch. if i ctrl+alt+del i can see my normal cursor but thats it. cd spins in drive but then stops. i have to restart my computer manually. i am not going to reinstall rvs until i know it will work if i reinstall it and the 1.51 patch will work! if i load the game just the play single player it will work perfectly. only when i click on a game through ubi it will freeze.
