View Full Version : I can't run farcry on my laptop

I installed far cry on my laptop and clicked to open. nothing happens. Just a breif hourglass. I've tried reinstalling. Please help. Below is the specs on my system.
I'm running a sony vaio PCG-FRV26, ATI Radeon IGP 345M 64MB Video card, 512MB of ram, Windows XP, and a 2.8 GZ P4 Processor.

You've an out-of-date gfx card. I think Far Cry needs a gfx card that can handle atleast dx 8.1 effects

I am currently running dirextx 9b on that computer so i don't think that is the problem but thank you for the reply

well, yes you may be running 9.0b on your card, but that does not mean your card supports it. what Cycrac was trying to tell you is that the game requires certain graphical technology to run that your card simply does not have, thus, your game will not run.
