Cant apply patch??

Hi, has anyone ran into the following problem before?? I just downloaded the mp demo version 1.1 and cant apply any of the patches because it says that it cant retrieve version number. This also happened to my friend on his computer. Thanks in advance.

for some reason you are missing the registry entries for the game. The patch would look into the registry to find the version number. The only thing you can do is reinstall the game then patch.

I have tried this numerous times, no luck though. Anyone know how to handedit the registry to add the right entries?

hmmm, did you ever have patch 1.1 or 1.2 installed before, then unisntalled the game? If so, then maybe there are registry entries left over from before that are confusing things. What I would do is uninstall, then use regcleaner (just download it off of the net) to remove any left over Ubi/Ravenshield entries. then reinstall after a reboot.

I did have it installed once, but then i reinstalled Windows XP (professional) so it shouldnt be there... I emailed tech support, we'll see what they have to say.
