reentering cd key

think has be going on for atleast a month now and I was woundering if there is a fix to this. Every time I restart the game and go to join a server I have to reenter my cd key. So I was woundering why that is and how do I fix it so that it will start to remember it instead of me having to put it in all the time. Also I have tryed uninstaling and reinstaling the game.

Hey Gunny,
Could this be caused by using a non-admin statis user account in XP that does not allow permanent regristry changes or something? I always use my admin statis as I'm sure alot of ppl do rather than setting up a limited user account. Maybe this is what is causing the problem with some.

Hmmn maybe but then it would probably say that you have too few privileges, and not write anything to the regisrty.

Maybe it could happen because if one times out when authenticating it deletes cdkey entry and you need to enter it again.

I think this because I was configurering my RvS to join a dedicated LAN server with the RvS SA server and when I tried to join it of course tried to reach the cd-key server, and I hadn't configured in in RavenShield.ini it to be LAN server without Internet connection (m_bValidActivationID=True). Next tiem I connected to play on the Internet it asked for my CD-KEY in both RvS and As when i joined servers respectively.

So it would probably be the same scenario if one timed out while trying to authenticate (for any reason e.g. not connected to Inet/firewall blocked etc) and next time you actually could reach the cd-key authentication server it would require you to reenter it.

It's speculation but it's from reasoning and careful dedution of the facts and event that

To sum up, if you time out, while trying to connect, next time you have connection to cd-key server you need to reenter cdkey(s). Just a thought.

actually it does not seen to matter if I connect up or not to the server. this happens even when I join a server and play on it then quit the game and start up the game again. And about the Xp none admin that is not posible since my acount is the admin acount.
