Help! I want to learn how to build maps, but lately it just seems like a huge exercise in frustration. I went to RvSMaps and went to the "building your first map" tutorial. Before i even got into it, it told me to first check out "Architechtonic's Tutorial" if i have never even touched UnrealEd. So i did. Everything on that tutorial was in reference to Unreal2k3, so i had to basically transpose everything to the equivalent of Raven Shield. The whole time that i was bouncing back and forth between the tutorial and the editor, a message would pop up saying that the filename i used is invalid and has spaces in it. I never even entered a filename to begin with! Then, when it told me to test my map after hitting "build all", i hit "play map" and nothing happens. I get this black screen with all this text, the game loads up and i can't even find my map. I couldn't even figure out how to enter a filename, but somehow i managed to rename a map that said "Autoplay" in my maps folder, which turned out to be the map that i was working on (i never saved it, so how did it get there?). And what did i accomplish after 2 nights,2 1/2 hours a night? 2 rooms with a hallway connecting it that i can't even test! Could somebody out there just direct me to a site with a really good tutorial that actually has to do with Raven Shield? I don't mind putting in the time, but i just want to learn in the most painless and least-frustrating way possible.

people who whine about campers should play unreal 2k3!!!

It took me a while to find out why the editor does that but I eventually did. It seems that the editor does not like spaces in the path name. On your route directory (i.e. C: ) create a directory named "Maps". Do all your editing there and copy all files to the proper directory in Raven Shield.
