I was going to say Poems or quotes but there are so many things in our lives that touch us today that in a week we can't figure out what we were thinking. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif
I am going to Start with a poem.
If by Rudyard Kipling. I probably spelled that wrong http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
I think my favorite book will always be The giving tree by Shel Silverstein. (makes me cry!)
I know we have done this before but I thought New Forum New List http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Let me see... http://perso.wanadoo.fr/atil/forum/scratch2.gif
Raindrops on roses,
Whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles,
Warm woolen mittens,
Brown paper packages tied up with strings,
Cream colored ponies,
And crisp apple strudels,
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles,
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings,
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes,
Snow flakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
Silver white winters that melt into springs,
These would be a few are a few of my favorite things . . .
Grrr...

I've never seen this before. Let me see if I get the idea...
Bright sunny skies on warm, cloudless days
Words that make all of the bad things go away
A great night sleep with wonderful dreams
Chocolate pies with peanut butter cream
Nights on the town with insane friends
Jokes where the laughing never ends
Various novels, such as Lord of the Rings
Thomas Harris, cheesy romance and Steven King
Running away so I can beat the wind
Running away so I can gain the win
Snow gently falling onto my head
Expressing thoughts as poetry, instead.

You spelled it correctly, but I prefer "The Thousandth Man", though "Danny Deever" was a code with my father that something bad was scheduled for the day. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
But at the moment:
Having heat in the apartment (so far)
Watching it snow
The look of snow covered trees
My calico Priss sharing body heat and purring up a storm.

See I've already waited too long
And all my hope is gone

Those that fly .... they know who they are
Those who crawl ... we know who we are
Those who swim ... who also know who they are
Those who run , walk or float .
And those who do none of the above .....

The sound of rain on Sunday morning.
Talking to people that don't think I'm boring.
Hugging my daughter and seeing her smile.
Knowing I'll see the other in a short while.
Chocolate pudding with whipped cream.
Waking after a really sad dream.
Oh yeah Mint Ice Cream http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
