After returning to the game, I've played about 40 games, and 9 times out of 10 as I merc I face aggro spies. I'm not complaining, me and my partner actually like facing those idiots and prefer playing them than the really good spies who hide and then break you're neck.
The problem was, I was playing REAL newbies in games, and getting my neck broke a lot. In cinema I had my neck broke 2 times in one minute by a guy who hasn't played more than 10 games. Now before you say I suck, hear me out. I'm used to playing with my high level friend's, and have been practising my merc skills on them, sometimes 2 spies vs me, so I know by now how to handle aggro-spies.
The problem was this: When a spy punched me, they could grab my neck before I could move enough to get out of the way. At first I thought it was just a laggy game, but it started happening many times and it seems like my connection. I started doing tests, and what made it worse was that they could do this WITHOUT smoke. When I tested being a spy, doing the same formula of punch-then-grab, the merc seemed to jitter around, then shoot me while he was still in the "being hit" animation. I also tazered someone as a merc, but he said that he was behind me when I tazered him, which would explain why I can see a spy when they grab my neck.
My question is, is this happening to many others, or is my connection getting worse? I've learned to keep spies at mid-range now, but sometimes it's impossible to prevent them from punching me, then grabbing me.
