HELP ME PLEASE

I have tried about 5 differnt downloads for the Far Cry demo, and I have not been able to install any of them. I have either gotten the "1607: Unable to install..." and when I get into the installer, I get through all the installation questions, and when it comes up to the installation screen, where bars should appear, the insaller just freezes.

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro, Windows XP operation system if that matters.

This should work:

go to start... Run...
type the following:

REGSVR32 MSI.DLL

then type

SFC/SCANNOW
