MP Demo CTD's. Help!

Hey, I just downloaded the 1.1 Multiplayer demo from file planet. It installed just fine, no errors or anything. But when I click on the icon, it comes up with the loading screen thing, then the screen goes black and a couple of clicks and flashes later and I'm right back where I started.

I check the game configurator & diagnosis thing and I've got ticks all across the board. System specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 2GHz
512MB DDR333 RAM
ATI Radeon 9500np 128MB with catalyst 4.4 drivers
SBLive! 5.1 Digital
40GB & 120GB Maxtor HDD
Windows XP Pro SP1a
DX 9.0b

I've got the SP demo aswell, haven't tested it yet though.
