View Full Version : What's Up With the Trees?

Check out this screenshot and see if you can help me out. Until I installed v1.02, I had trees when the scenes were selected at medium or high. Now I'm getting this square texture instead. I can get rid of it by setting scenes to low, but them I lose the majority of the structures. Any suggestions as to how to get proper tree texture back would be appreciated.

What time of day is your mission? It looks like it is at night, say around 1:00am? I believe this has to do with the graphics being rendered differently at night-time as opposed to day-time.

I get this as well.

The mission time is set at 0700hrs. I've experimented with various settings on my video card and the game settings. The only fix I've found is to set the scenes detail to low. This gets rid of the trees and most of the structures. My next idea was to switch the textures file for the trees to the one used before V 1.02. If that works, I'll repost, especially if I'm not the only one having this issue. I'm open to any other ideas if they're out there. Thanks

Hey there,

youâ´re not alone, I have exactly the same problem since 1.02. But here usually the trees are not that way right from the beginning of a mission, the problem only starts after a while when flying longer missions..
I didnâ´t pay attention if it happens at any special time of day so far....

My specs are:

Athlon 1.4 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/cry.gif
Asus A7A266
512 MB DDR
GeForce FX 5600 256 MB
WinXP

Iâ´d be glad to hear if you can sort it out somehow or find out anything else about the problem.

Greetings, Wolf

Yeah, I've just discovered that it can happen to me after flying a longer mission as well. Very, very disturbing. Sorry, don't have any answers for you on this one since I'm trying to figure it out myself.
