Bradley pushes Carlie out of the way, as the animal lands on Jeff with a growl.

The cat raises his paw preparing to strike a fatal blow just as Jeff screams, "Carlie, I STILL LOVE YOU!"

Bradley picks the tiny kitten up by the scruff of the neck and coos, "Who's a precious kitty cat?"

Carly's face turns soft and motherish, and she makes baby talk as she holds out her hands pleadingly for possession of the kitten,

Carlie totally ignores Brad's sneezing fit (it's happened before) and walks off, cuddling the kitten in her arms, while the kitten's face takes on the most disgusted look imaginable.

Bradley follows after her and ingnores Jeff as he groans from the ground where he fell earlier, "What about me?"

Carlie looks disdainfully over her shoulder at Brad, saying, "You're ok, I guess, but you'll never be as cute as this little guy!"

The tiny predator's face turns from disgust to concentration, as he wonders how he can turn this to his advantage.

Jeff, seeing how easily Carlie manages the 'terrifying beast', and thinking he was far too soft and needlessly frightened, gets up and heads for the kitten in Carlie's arms with bodily mayhem in mind.

The kitten, seeing the angry Jeff heading towards him, immediately puts on it's most innocent face, and gives a soft "Mew...Mew".

Carlie, seeing Jeff approach with such a face, drew herself up to her full height, protected the kitten with both arms, and said "And just what do you think you're doing?"

Whereas Jeff puts on his most innocent looking face and says in a baby-talk voice, "I'm just gonna wuv the wittle bitty kitty...awww."

Carlie 'hummmmmmphed' and turned around keeping her back to Jeff, saying, "You just try laying a hand on this kitten, buster!"

Jeff turned away and muttered softly, "Dirty little furball, you'll get it soon enough."

An unexpected visitor arrived, scaring the wits out of Bradley and Carlie.

It was the boss, and he looked very upset, looking down his long nose at both of his truant employees.

"Why aren't you at work??" he bellowed.

Bradley hemmed and hawed, but Carlie stood up straight and tall and said, "Pfffft! Because it's the weekend! Duhhhhh!!"

The boss raised his busy eyebrow and scoffed, "A weekend that lasts 9 months?!"

"Well, ummmm,......our clock broke, and we lost track of time!" Bradley replied, then glanced over and saw the look of disbelief on Carlie's face.

The boss scoffed at the response and yelled in his best Donald Trump voice, "You're both fired!!"

Carlie took a closer look at the man, and in an incredulous voice asked... "Hey, just who the heck are you anyway?"

"As of now, I am your EX-boss!!"

Carlie snapped her fingers in the man's face and said... "Pffffft!"

Bradley started to sneeze uncontrollably as the cat fur was getting in his nose.

"Excuse me, but who is Norah?" asked Carlie angrily.

"Excuse me, but my name is Carlie, and it always has been!" Carlie yelled back.

At this, Bradley started sneezing.

Carlie groaned as she stuck out her tongue and marched off after the cat.

Jeff and Bradley looked at each other and then at Carlie.

"Women..." groaned Bradley.

Bradley rolled his eyes and sat down.

"Well, it doesn't help if you called her by the wrong name... say, wasn't that the lady you hooked up with last night anyways?" asked Jeff.

"But she HATES being called that: why can't you just give her a new name or something?" asked Jeff.

"Hey, no need to get upset, it was a suggestion, now wasn't it?" said Jeff while gesturing defensively with his hands.

"Don't I have a say in this discussion since it does involve me anyways!" stated Carlie.

"Alright, what name would you like?" Bradley asked.

Carlie thought for a moment before she said "Why don't you call me something nice and romantic, like Honey or Sweetheart or Beautiful?"

"Carlie!" Jeff shouted.

"What?" asked Carlie innocently.

"You...are...impossible!" Jeff groaned.

"No, I am just practical since determining a new name for me has to deal with what I would like to be called!" stated Carlie as she crossed her arms and raised her chin in defiance.

"But Carlie," Jeff shouted, "I'M your boyfriend!"

"No we're not: didn't you get the memo?" asked Carlie.

"Huh?" Jeff asked back.

[Speedyserd]

"This one!" stated Carlie as she pulled out a memo from her pocket and handed it over to Jeff.

"She's lost it!" Jeff whispered to Bradley.

"And it is so clearly stated in the opening line that upon January 3rd, 2006, we are to be officially separated and no longer on the basis of being "boyfriend/girlfriend"" Carlie read.

"So, got any questions regarding the memo?" asked Carlie as she watched Jeff remoisten his eyes.

"Why did you agree to it?" Jeff asked.

"Because I got bored with you and I want something new," stated Carlie.

"How am I boring?" Jeff asked.

[Speedyserd]

"I just want something new, something exotic, something different, something rich..." Carlie said as her voice grew more and more into a dreamy tone.

"Like a trip to Hawai?" Jeff asked, flashing two tickets.

"OOO! Where did you get those?" asked Carlie.
