Razz can you possibly co-ordinate with BB to have the lobby forum link ammended so that new players coming into the lobby can read this new forum and not just get an error message. This is so that they can read the help posts done for their benefit.

Do you mean the gameservice lobby? I couldn't find a Settlers section there..

Razz,if you go into BBGC,there is a tab there with forum on,the link used to take everyone directly to the old UBI forum thats since disappeared.All we see now is a page with an error on saying the page isnt available.Also could you possibly have a link put on the settlers4.com homepage,as that is often the first place new players go to look for help and information.In all honesty this forum isnt the easiest to find,even using a search engine.

basically you need to make the client updater send out two files:

1 - This already exists its called LobbyS4.INI

The reason that they cant just use the direct link is due to the fact im guessing they dont want to re-code the BBGC lobby, when using the link the lobby appends a login code. HTML files ignore this, however .x doesnt (im sure .x is either ASP or .PHP)

but what happens if you have BBGC installed in this location:

Perhaps it would make more sense to have a remote redirect.htm(L please dont use frontpage) hmmmmmmmmmmmm???

i was actually thinking about that problem, dan but i couldnt get a good answer. however the problem only arises if the person doesnt actually have a drive c:
but of course if theyre willing to use their server space thats much better!

Razz you where saying you can't find the settlers section...do you know that The blue byte game channel is no part of ubi.com servers...you'll have to download the software seperatly (BB homepage)
