I just bought Lock On and I'm having some problems with the above. The game takes at least 7-8 minutes to load and when it gets there it will lock up for a minute or so then it's ok. It also locks up while playing but that to is just temporary. I bought a just readable drive for the game as the computer has an RW originally. Any help is appreciated.
system specs:
Dell Dimension 8100, Pentium 4,Processor 1.5 Ghz, 128 MB RDRAM, 32MB NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 4X

Somewhere on the posts I saw something about about a DX8 compatable card. I think my system just isn't fast enough to run this but wanted to be sure. Thanks

Indeed you graphics card is not up to the official requirements, but might still be able to run it (at least some people were able to, at more or less minimum settings).

However I don't think Lock On will run in an acceptable way with 128MB RAM. I guess it's more occupied with swapping data back and forth than doing anything else... even with 512 MB you get frequent slowdowns for swapping activity, with 256 it's already really bad except for the most simple missions... now 128 MB is hardly enough for the OS itself, and certainly not for a memory-eating game like Lock On.

yea, your a vid card and some ram away from playing. Ram is cheap and shouldn't be a problem ( as long as its not rambus), but you better chek that you do have an agp slot. Some of the oem system don;t. Oh, and are u on XP or win98/me. Win 98 and me still have some issues, but its better now.

You need more RAM and a better video card.

LoL, so do you cali. well, maybe not ram, but will you please stop insulting that CPU with that low rent video card you got there. jk man, but really, i looked at your specs and thought it ewas a typo. 9200se just doesn't go with the rest of your specs. its like a major clash. The fashion police may get involved.
