Farcry is so big its has to use a dvd format

Was there not a CD-ROM release ? If you think Far Cry is a big one...Check out the DVD Edition of UT2004...And that damn thing is 5,329MB (5.3GB) to install !

it shocked me when i ran out to buy farCry only to get it home and realise it was DVD and i didnt have a DVD drive!!!! ive heard tell of a 5 cd version of the game, but every store ive asked here in blighty has stated that the game is dvd only release!

CD = USA only I think
DVD = Everywhere else

Not sure but that seems to be how it is :/

Here in Belgium we got the choice between the 5 CD-version or the DVD-version. The only difference was the language of the cover: the CD had a Dutch cover and the DVD had a French cover (and option to install in French I guess).

Yes all you foreigners....It's on 5 CD's here in the US...they come packaged in a very neat little jewel case.. I thought this issue was moot by now?
