Help me see fish on my old save games.

I have read some posts talking about this subject, but I have yet to find an answer. In my original profile, I used all of the medium video settings, which don't allow you to see the fish, birds, etc... Even if I bump up the video settings now, I still can't see fish, birds, etc. in my old savegames. Is there any way around this?

When you load your old profile, your old settings are loaded with it. AFTER you load your profile, you need to go into settings and turn them up. Alternatively, load the old profile, close the game, run "Configure Far Cry" from the start menu, go to the "Video options (advanced)" tab, click "Customize," open the "Environmental Quality" tab, and change the value of "e_flocks" from 0 to 1. By doing this, you can keep your lower settings (if you want), changing only the one specific part of the environmental details that interests you. That way, you don't have to decrease your performance as much as you would by turning up the environmental quality as a whole.

Yeah, but it could be more realistic. When you die, the game should be deleted from your hard drive and your serial number permanently invalidated.

Thanks for replying, but neither of those work. I know that environment quality has to be high, but I haven't found any way to activate it in old save games.
