What kind of vid card do you have?
Are the drivers up to date?
Do you have anything running in the background?
Have you defraged your hard drive?
Have you run any anti spyware software lately?

Sorry just need more info.

Try running RvS in a window by alt+enter when playing. Then open task manger and see what, if any, application or process in the process tab is using the most CPU time, besides RvS processes when the frezze happens.

so now i have ran a full scan with norton and ran spybot and adaware and also defragged my comp, none of that worked so i did a system restore to june 1st and re-installed the game. this helped slow down the freezing so it doesnt happen so often but still it happens.

I've had this problem before also. I can't remember what I did to fix it, but i'll look into it and tell you what I did

Check to see if Indexing service is disabled.

Run --> services.msc

Locate indexing service, disable it.

It will run in background and index your harddrive, but not needed. It shouldn't be active unless CPU is idle, but give it a try.

And why is your explorer.exe active at 6% when playing games? It should only have some RAM allocated, but no CPU time as you are not using it in games. Explorer.exe is the shell windows run on, and using alot when using regular functions of windows like browsing folder etc.

Also make sure that features like windows update or other applications that update regulary don't hog your systems resources.
