I have done this too. It is a lot of fun.
It is so much fun to play with a spy after they are tazed. You can shoot them just as they start to get up, drop a nade just as they get up, or plant a spy trap so when they stand up they get tagged. Then you can hunt them down again and start all over.

i dont get it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif
Nah, im joking. It seems there is a very good exploit to use against the mercs, and i do it alot with high probability for me to snap a neck. It seems the mercs have a certain trust factor for alarms and such. So a strategic spy with alarm snares can have a field day tricking mercs into running in on a trap that u set up.

SmokeCheeda... Good Mercs do follow alarms... Cuz they use their Soundar... But a Good Merc will also check a room before he enters... And they will also know all the hiding spots so getting the Drop on a Good Merc is hard.

Hah. Someone tried planting a mine on a crate near me on Deftech after he tazered me. The moron put a proxy mine down, though, so I just walked away. Must have expected me to run and blow myself away.
If you're going to try that stunt, use a laser mine.

Yah, alarm snares rock. I always carry them. Just last night on the top floor of hospital I tricked two mercs into traveling across the hallway with an alarm snare and got an ND from right behind their backs.

You can do this quite well on Mount Hospital. I like to shoot the window laser at room 202 and then enter the vent into room 216 (the shot is from across the courtyard area). This always makes at least one merc go to room 202 which is more than a 10 second run into room 214.

Porphyria, That typically works but good mercs know how to chuck a grenade from 202 into 216.I get Spies this way ALL the time.

You beat me to posting that.
Keep in mind that if you are quick enough you can get away from grenades coming into room 212 window but if it is in room 202 you don't have a chance of getting out of the blast area.

You can also tag room 212 all the way down from the room with the vent leading to 205. That REALLY sends em off. If you are super slick, you can tag 116, then run upstairs and tag 216, then sneak into the nursery.

I've managed to dodge grenades like this in both rooms (202 and 216), you just gotta be quick and keep your camera looking around everywhere. Sometimes, after I put the alarm snare on the window, like porphyria said, I'll shoot in a smoke too. That has always kept me safe from that angle.

That's great. As they run in to investigate 202 the merc will notice the gas and think, "oh crap he's in here". About that time your nuetralizing and he has no clue how or ability to aim correctly to chunk the granade. Sir, this move has officially been borrowed (a.k.a. stolen)
