TBHI have no idea why they're delaying it. Their product sure doens't have "quality"... nor do they care about that anyway... mabye athena sword is so bad that it doens't actually work AT ALL.

Yea, exactly. I have been a developer for 10 plus years (and have worked at 2 different game companies). You do not delay a product for 3 months, especially during the xmas season to work out a few kinks. Also, how much new code is in the expansion pack? I mean come on, we are talking about a few new maps, some new weapons, and some new game modes. Mostly artistic/busy type work, not strenuous debugging and QA cycles.

When it comes to expansion packs people are either going to buy them or they won't. I guess Ubi wants to bleed out a few more orders for the core game during xmas season, and then hope to further boost income by a Q1 release of the expansion pack. Maybe Ubi is hurting financially, who knows. The bottom line is that most peeps feel the Ubi's reason for the delay is total garbage.

Anyway, there is no way my interest in ravenshield will last until Q1. I hoping the SDK would be released by now so I can develop some cool mods, but Ubi dropped the ball.

Sales will likely be far less in Q1 rather than during the X-Mas spree, by then HL2 will be around the corner along with DOOMIII a bit later, and besides COD should be out the beginning of November which alot will be sure to get and by the time AS comes out.....ppl will have moved on to other games. Besides, you see how much whine floods these forums without resolutions, you may be upset at UBI, but i'm sure they sit back and laugh at the quality entertainment within these forums, God knows even I get a good chuckle out of them

Were is a link? i know many people left, and had problems leaving cuz of a contract that UBI makes you agree too when they hire you. It would mean IF you left the company you can NOT work for another game company for 2 years.... or something close to that.

Hey I think they royaly screwed the feel of this game, and im not happy about that at all, they left tooo much RS feel out and just made a new UT2k3 mod if you ask me, But even tho ill probably never buy anything from them again Athena as well. I would not be laughing at a death.

Is the delay a ploy to increase sales of the expansion?......ahhh hell no!.......they stand to lose alot of money through this delay...which strikes me odd, maybe they are actually trying to salvage this game to save face...and making a a sacrifrice to their profit margin to regain creditiability with the rs community....who knows.....but I' am sure they stand to lose alot of sales by delaying considering all of the title comming out deus ex2, ctd, soldner, lomac etc.....
