Hello everyone.

I checked the previous messages for problems similar to mine but I haven't found a solution yet, so here it is:

Everything runs OK with the game, graphics and sound are fine, except when I hit TALK. Then I get no sound and I can only read the subtitles. It totally spoils the atmosphere and gets on my nerves.
I should point out that there IS sound during the cutscenes.

I ran dxdiag and all test came out OK.(Too long to post)

My system is:

P4 2.66GHz
Gigabyte 845PE motherboard
RADEON 9700 Pro
512MB RAM
WinXP

I use the on-board AC97 soundcard. You think that this might be the problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

That's the way it's supposed to be. Do you remember the old Final Fantasy games? It's just like that, they couldn't record every conversation without taking up 7GB of your hdd.

My system:

AMD XP 3000+ @ 2.23Ghz
1 gig of Corsair DDR PC2700 RAM @354Mhz
Radeon 9800 Pro video w/TV out core @434, mem @730
Windows XP SP 1
Microsoft Directx 9.0b
Antec TruePower TrueBlue True480 PSU
LiteOn DVD+/-RW drive
Plexwriter CD-RW
Maxtor Diamond 9 160GB SATA hdd
Westerndigital 40 gig harddrive
Westerndigital 100 gig hdd (external)
Asus A7V600 VIA KT600 mainboard
Creative 5.1 surround system
Thermaltake Aquarius II liquid cooling system

Thanks, man!
I had given up hope.

Apart from this, it's one helluva game!

Cheers,

I don't buy that. Look at KOTOR.. Hours of dialogue, and each one has recorded speech. Yet the game only takes up 4 gb (full install).

Look, for this game, it wasn't recorded. End of story. It's just like the old Final Fantasy Games. This game only takes 2.4GB. Final Fantasy X is a 7GB disk and it has hours of conversation, it's according to how well of quality you want, but for this game, 2.4 couldn't hold the amount of conversation it needs, plus UBI isn't going to pay a different person every time they need a different voice. Heck, there are even conversations in FF X that aren't recorded and are only written in bubbles.
