I know I should be ok, but just a question. Will I be able to play far cry ok with my comp.

p4 3.06, 533fsb, HT enabled
240gb 7200 rpm hd, raid enabled
1024 mb 333 ddr
Fx 5700, 128 mb video card
windows XP

And if I can will I be able to run it at least normal or a little above? I dont have much money and do not want to waste it.

You should be fine..

I have:
AMD64 3400+
2 WD Raptor 10K Sata (RAID 0)
nVidiaFX 5700 Ultra GDDR3
WinXP Pro-SP1
1024mb OCZ DDR500
ADSL conn @ 1024/768

I have no problems at all playing FarCry with everything set to "high/very high" and water @ "ultra high" .. the only time my videocard stuttered was @ the "control map" when you go into the room that's just about all white and lighted up and all those armor'd up bad guys are after ya.. but other than that, it rocks for me, so it should for you too.

Btw.. for AMD64 users with Windows XP 64 Bit Preview.. FarCry runs execellent on it too, I have 2 comps with almost the exact same specs, cept one is WinXP 32 Bit, the other WinXP 64 Bit .. FarCry owns on both!
